The happy guide idea was born to guide clients on various paths of theirs lives from recovery to healing through therapy, from finding clarity and fulfillment through coaching, using Pilates to gain flexibility and maintain a healthy body, and mindfulness to be fully present and grounded.
The Happy Guide is a wellness hub - a safe space for expression, creativity, inspiration and empowerment.
Through my mind and body practice I want to elevate my clients to live healthier lives without shame, guilt or fear and to be happy.
I offer 101 sessions and different classes and workshops in the community.
I collaborate with doctors, therapists, nutritionists, Pilates and yoga instructors and trainers.

Lavinia Barbu is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Masters Degree and a Coaching Diploma from New York University.
Additionally, Lavinia is a Certified Pilates Instructor and a practitioner of many sports, incorporating therapy with life coaching and Pilates inspired exercises to instill both a healthy mind and a healthy body.

Prior to private practice, Lavinia had worked with children, adolescents and adults in individual therapy in the Post Graduate Center for Mental Health in New York and the Behavioral Center for Cognitive Behavior Therapy in New Jersey.
Lavinia believes in the individual’s ability to recover from mental and environmental adversities and specializes in trauma recovery, integrating mind and body techniques that allow survivors to make meaning of their experiences and to move forward, from a state of survival to a state of fulfillment.
Lavinia is an advocate for physical activity as an important and essential part of mental and psychological well-being. Therefore, her approach integrates walk and talk therapy, cognitive behavior strategies, Pilates exercises and mindfulness techniques. This combination of therapeutic expertise, life skills, and Pilates exercises, enables her to help clients understand their lives from a mind and body perspective.
Lavinia has successfully worked with clients from many walks of lives who struggled with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, self-esteem, co-dependency, new mothers and stress management.
